What you'll be doing:

As our Operational Risk Manager, you'll be responsible for continuously developing the companies operational risk management framework. This framework will identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could disrupt the organisation's processes, systems, or people, and ensure compliance to relevant regulations.

 

You'll work closely with other teams across the organisation, utilising your interpersonal and influencing skills to lead on the effectiveness of controls and embedding governance processes to ensure robust and repeatable processes for the management of operational risk.

 

You'll also work closely with management and colleagues to embed the company standards and utilise the risk framework to capture new risks and measure effectiveness of existing controls.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and developing risk frameworks, as well as developing and measuring Key Control Indicators for Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and organisational standards such as GDPR, Climate Regulation (ESOS, SECR), ITAR and ICO
  • Provide assistance with standards such as ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001
  • Ensure the risk framework is embedded in technical standards such as ISO 27001
  • Streamlining processes to reduce risk and improve efficiencies
  • Handling risk incidents and implementing remediation measures

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Have a good understanding of risk frameworks, having participated in different methods and systems of managing risk for medium sized companies.
  • Have experience in report writing for audiences from mid managers to the C suite.
  • Have experience working with different frameworks and legislation and the ability to understand new legislation such as DORA and position risk within the new frameworks for the regulation.
  • Have experience in dealing with external auditors and preparing for audits 
  • Have a good understanding of MS Office and have strong analytical capability
