What you'll be doing:

As our Regional Data Centre Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the Data Centre (DC) facilities infrastructure regionally across iomart DC sites in the North (North includes 3 DC sites in Manchester, 1 in York, 1 in North Wales, 1 in Nottingham and 1 in Leicester).

 

This role is based in Manchester and travel will be required to the other DC sites.

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing the North DC infrastructure availability, performance, resilience, and cost-efficient delivery to support iomart’ s delivery of service and product to our clients
  • Maintaining North DC asset management
  • Responsible for all North DC M&E and HVAC
  • Managing both North DC infrastructure teams and partners who provide specialist vendor support and maintenance.
  • Driving operational excellence consistent with good industry practice for the North DC sites
  • Building capital investment plans for the North DC asset replacement or capacity expansion
  • Maintain North DC infrastructure BCP and participate in DR exercises

Success will be measured ultimately in Operational Excellence KPIs including-: Number of Major Incidents, Mean Time To Failure, M&E PPM, PUE, CSAT/NPS, ESAT, Change Execution Success and Infrastructure Asset Accuracy & Supportability.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Are an experienced Regional DC Manager
  • Have an excellent technical understanding of DC infrastructure and tooling including latest tools, techniques, and innovation to improve environmental sustainability.
  • Have knowledge with managing Data Centre space & power utilisation including understanding Data Centre HVAC, Power Distribution, Data Centre UPS, Cable Plant Layout and Environmental monitoring systems
  • Have an M&E technical background and qualifications in IT DC Management (CDCMP and/or CDCDP)
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
